I've always been bothered by the fact that my Mom has always been able to remember lots of cute things that Jonathan said as a child, but none from me. She insists this was because I spoke clearly, and didn't mess up any words. Could be true. But I can't help but feel that the poor second child is just a wee bit neglected. So since having Christian, I've been determined to remember the cute things he says and the funny way he has of saying things.
That is, if I could find any.
He repeats what he hears, and Ansley teaches him so much, so he doesn't mess any words up!
Ansley called motorcycles "dadoos" until she was about three years old. We have no idea where this came from, but we thought it was so cute, and we still refer to it, even though she's long since been able to call them motorcycles. Ironically, motorcycle is also the word that Jonathan had a funny name for, and one that we still talk about to this day!
But now I have one. We bought these hula hoops a week or so ago, and they love them. All on his own, Christian started calling it his "ringring" because he didn't know what it was called. I have latched on to that, and started calling it a ringring too, because I want him to have at least one word that we can remember when he's older that was cute and funny and all his own.
So there it is, buddy. Ringring. It's all yours!
