He looks so innocently cute, doesn't he? He's obsessed with bitamins - also known as vitamins - and he asks for one every morning. And sometimes again in late morning, and then in the afternoon. And on this morning, I just wasn't moving fast enough for his taste. So, he took matters into his own hands.
Why is it that the toys I set out for Christian to play with during school always seem to attract the six year old? Go figure. I'm trying to keep the two year old a little more occupied, because otherwise he becomes really interested in what Ansley is doing. Ironic, isn't it? He wants to do her work, she wants to play with his toys. I guess when they are both school-age, it'll be easier? But I have no idea.

Pulling out the 'ol Bread Maker again. I've started making homemade bread at the beginning of every week, mostly for sandwiches. It just tastes so much better than store bought bread, and it's really easy. The kids say it's tasty, so I'll keep doing it. Some weeks I have to make more than one loaf, but really, the bread machine does all the work.
Tonight, for the first time, we read the kids a book together in Ansley's bed. I don't know why we've never thought of this before, since both kids get a book read every night, just usually in their own beds. They both were completely still as John read "Pinkalicious". After it was over, though, Christian thought it meant he was sleeping with Ansley, so there was a little discussion. We ended up telling him he could sleep with Ansley when he was wearing big boy underwear. It sounded good at the time. And, maybe it will motivate him. Something has to, since this boy is just not gonna potty train himself (and his Mama is SO unmotivated!).
This big yellow thing in the sky came out today, so we ran outside and soaked it up before it started raining again ten minutes later. Ansley and Christian were rolling down the hill together, laughing the whole way. I remember when I could do that - nowadays, a little roll down a hill would make me nauseous for days. So instead I just watch them. And smile.
This is my view on any given day. It's not so much clingy, although Christian can certainly be clingy. It's more of a just showing love kinda thing, he's not fussing or crying, just showing me how much he loves me. He does this many times in a day, and that sweet face looking up at me just makes my day. It does my heart good.
Today John and I visited our good friends Shawn and Christina in the hospital, who just had their third son, Luke. He is five pounds, thirteen ounces so he is little but so quiet! He hardly made a sound the whole time we were there, just slept peacefully. We are so thankful that he arrived safely, and that Christina is doing great. It was so fun to meet him!
Ansley is getting very into dressing like Ellie. So when she came downstairs for ballet looking like this, I had to get a picture. I thought it was so cute! (She didn't actually wear the leg warmers to class - I thought it was still a little warm for that.) But they look like twins! I have a feeling matching outfits are next on the horizon.....
This morning when Christian woke up and I was getting him dressed, he said he was cold. So I dug through last year's stuff and found these bear slippers. And, shockingly, they still fit! I thought they were so adorable. I forget how quickly toddlers can obsess about things, so it didn't take long for him to want these slippers on ALL the time! But that's okay - he looks so adorable!
