Could this be a new Christmas Eve tradition? I guess we will find out. We headed out this morning and had Santa pictures made at a professional studio. I have to say, WAY better than the mall! Not necessarily picture wise, just the overall experience. We tried to go to the mall yesterday to have them done, but the line was two hours. At the new place that we will start going to every year, we walked in, made an appointment about an hour away, went to Five Guys and had lunch, and then showed up for our appointment. They turned out really cute! But because it was December 24, the pictures won't be ready until early January. That's okay - but I'll be sure and post them when I get them.
So after all that, we headed to downtown and tried out ice skating. Well, me, JonJon, Ansley and Christian did. Ansley was actually really good, considering it was her first time! And Christian was quite a trooper, and did a great job as well. It was really fun!
Part II
After we returned home, we discovered a plate of cookies as well as gifts for both Ansley and Christian, left by our neighbors. The same neighbors that we haven't even spoken to in three years, but we apparently started something when we delivered them cookies back in September. They are in love with our kids, and have really become sweet neighbors. Although we were still surprised by this! It's amazing what a seemingly small act of kindness can do.
