Uh oh. It's gonna be another two parter. I couldn't help it. This photo cracks me up - it's probably my favorite from the day because it's so funny. John is off this week, so we all headed to the aquarium in Gatlinburg, and Ansley invited Rylee to come along as well.

Part II

And then I had to include this one, since it's all three of them. We enjoyed the aquarium for several hours, looking at fish and sharks and sting rays. Then we headed to lunch at Corky's before heading home. A fun day!

Today we hosted a Gingerbread House party. It was cute and fun, even though a little messy. The kids all used graham crackers and icing, and then decorated them with candy. But it seems the icing wasn't very strong, or the candy was too heavy, because most of the houses fell. But it was a fun time. Afterwards, there were a handful of girls hanging out, and I snapped this picture because it was so cute. They were all enjoying being "proper" and acting out good manners. I am thankful that Ansley's friends are so sweet.

This evening we hosted our Second Annual Movie Night Under the Stars. I took this picture when the kids were trying out a movie, before everyone arrived. And then I didn't take any more pictures. But it pretty much looked like this, plus twenty something more kids piled on the blankets. We showed the movie "Up" plus had popcorn, movie candy, and drinks. It was a great evening of a fun movietime for kids (and Dads) while the Moms had fun chatting and watching the kids have such a fun time.

The post Halloween shot - all the kids going through their candy, and eating their candy, by the fire. Everyone was wet and cold, so it was nice to come inside and get warm!

Hamilton and Christian played so well together that no adults were needed. This was before church on Sunday - they were doing their own thing in the playroom while everyone else got ready. (Ansley does do a good job of supervising, just in case.)

Our great friends Mark and Ashley and their son Hamilton came to visit us this weekend. We got our babysitter to come over, and then we all enjoyed dinner out. It was fun, and yummy, and, as always, the company was top notch. There is nothing better than laughing with old friends.

Today John and I visited our good friends Shawn and Christina in the hospital, who just had their third son, Luke. He is five pounds, thirteen ounces so he is little but so quiet! He hardly made a sound the whole time we were there, just slept peacefully. We are so thankful that he arrived safely, and that Christina is doing great. It was so fun to meet him!

We had our friends Chris and Lesley over for dinner this evening. As you can see, our kids are really slow to warm up, so it was hard for Chris and Lesley to interact with them. It was a fun evening!

I love this picture. All the sweet girls at Ansley's birthday party - Anna, Ellie, Eliza, Ansley and Rylee. And lucky for us, all these girls are also in our Care Group, so Ansley gets to see them often. It was definitely a girlie day!

Today we had our first UT football party. I guess all the orange is starting to get to us. (I will have some orange before our next party.) Our friends Chad and Rebecca and their children Rylee, Jake, Reese and Jackson joined us, as well as Adam and Ellen and their children Eliza, David and MJ. It was a fun day!
