This is the view from our back door, looking out onto our back deck and backyard. This will be the last evening it looks like this. Tomorrow the work starts to cover it and screen it in. I am SO excited! We have talked about doing this for years, and we are so excited to finally be getting it done. I can't wait to sit out here and relax, eat dinner and play, watch the kids and hang out. I think we will use it all the time. Our contractor says it will be done in two weeks, but I have learned lately that contractors never deliver on what they say, so I have a month in my head. We will see, but either way, I can't wait to see the work start!

This is what I do.
I take pictures. This blog is a way for me to capture the every day moments in this season of my life before it becomes too foggy in my memory for me to recall. This is a tangible reminder of what my life was like, what we did, what was important to us, how we spent our days. These are the every day matters, because to me, every day matters.

We had a screened-in front porch growing up! :) The fireplace looks terrific.
