Today McKane and Riese came over to play while Kelly (their mom) ran some errands. We have a child swap going - she watches Ansley while I run out, and I watch hers while she goes out. A nice arrangement. Going from one to three kids is a little different for me, but it's fun and always entertaining. Today we played all sorts of things - Little People, trains, hide-and-seek, and then Emergency! as the kids were calling it. Not a real game, a made up game, but it made me smile. Here's how it worked: the cow was very, very sick, and it took all three doctors, AKA kids, to help save him. Here's a picture of them all working very diligently on saving the cow. Like I said, makes me smile. In case you can't tell, Ansley is getting his blood pressure (without a stethoscope, I know), McKane is having to use the scalpel to see what the problem is, and Riese is giving him a shot. It was finally decided that we wouldn't be able to save the cow, and had to call for extra help. So Dr. Elmo arrived to save the day, and the cow. :) (We even made a surgeon's mask out of construction paper, but Ansley decided it was "too scary" so we got rid of it.) These three play well together. It is really very fun to watch. Then we had lunch, played some more, and now they are all napping (but they are at their house). This afternoon we are getting together again for a fun craft (hopefully!:)) and dinner. Definitely a play day!
In case you were worried, here's the final status:

Now I can sleep at night. :)
Happy Wednesday!
I'm so relieved to know that the cow made it and is ok. They all look so serious and involved in their rescue of the cow. My day seems so unimportant compared to saving cows! Happy Wednesday.

I think I recognize that cow--cowabonga!!! I'm so glad he made it!! He was well worth the effort as I recall. That is really cute.

So cute! I babysat Gabi tonight and was a little early to the neighborhood so I stopped by around 5:45 to say hello - but y'all must have been down the street. That's okay though another time. :) Hope MLL works out - if not let's schedule April's.
