Since I was conscious for only a couple of hours on Valentine's Day, we're pretending like it's today. I took some V-Day photos this morning of Ansley and the balloon John got for her. Despite how scary I looked on Valentine's Day, John brought me roses, and got Ansley this balloon, a stuffed kitty, a coloring book and several fun candy items. What a great husband and daddy! Ansley and I are very blessed to have such a wonderful man in our lives! He was a great SAHD (stay-at-home dad) these past two days, and took care of Ansley, the house, meals, grocery shopping - everything, while I was in bed. Just had to praise him today for all that he does!
It's amazing to me that the flu can come on so suddenly, and then just like that, it's gone. I mean, I still have a little leftover blah-not-completely-healthy feeling, but for the most part, I'm feeling pretty good. I might even make some valentine cupcakes or cookies when Ansley wakes up. Maybe.
I added a scrapbooking gallery to my photo albums on the left side. They are some older pages (last spring - almost a year ago) that I already had pictures of. I will try and update that with some of my newer stuff, and of course, when I can, I will share my HOF pages.
I have to share a story, and give credit where credit is due, about KidKraft (imagine there's a cool link inserted here - ughgh, it's not working for me. www.kidkraft.com). We bought Ansley a KidKraft train table for Christmas, and needless to say had several issues. After contacting the company, sending emails and online feedback, I still got no response. I was totally frustrated by their lack of customer service, and the pitiful responses when I did hear back from them finally. So last week I wrote a letter and sent it off to their headquarters, including all the communication up to that point. I got an email back from them yesterday that was super-nice, very apologetic, and for our troubles, she said, they are sending Ansley a dollhouse. Wow! Now that's customer service! So, just had to give kudos to KidKraft for finally resolving things above and beyond expectations.
We had a nice weekend, before the flu hit, of course. McKane turned three on Saturday, so we went to his birthday party. Ansley had a fun time! Happy Birthday, McKane!
We are having a great time celebrating the love we have for each other, and the Ultimate Love that comes from God. Better late than never!
What a great husband you must have! If only all wifes were that lucky!

Glad you're feeling better. Ansley sure looks cute in the picture. She definitely loves balloons. Sounds like John needs some rest, maybe 18 holes on the golf course. Talk to you soon.

Hey John - if you're going to toot your own horn, at least do it under a different name so we think it's from someone else. ha ha

What a great husband you have, Megan, and what a great Daddy you have, Ansley. (even if John says so himself) It's no fun to be sick and no fun to be a Mom worried about her child being sick. I'm glad you are better and hope everyone stays well. Love the pictures again.
