I received an email from my friend Alicia with the question game, so I thought it'd be fun to do it again on here (it's been awhile). So I'll answer the questions, and then tag two of you! (Alicia, this counts as emailing it back to you, right? :)) So watch out at the bottom of this post - it could be you! :)

But first, today Ansley has been very interested in the Rainbow Fish book. She loves looking at all the sparkly fish and talking about them. So we decided to make a fish necklace. I was hoping I had some glitter lying around to make them true rainbow fish, but I didn't (mental note: buy glitter next time I'm out). So Ansley colored them and strung them on the necklace, and loved wearing it. We got a call from a friend for a spontaneous lunch date, so we met at a deli, and Ansley had to wear her fish necklace. Here she is, modeling it for us:

1. What time did you get up this morning?  Ummm, close to 8. J And yes, that’s a typical morning. My girl loves her sleep just like her Mommy! 

2. Diamonds or pearls?  diamonds

3. What was the last film you saw at the movie theater?  Oh, my – this will be sad. Umm, I believe it was Meet the Fockers maybe last summer? Whew. We need to get out more.

3.5 What is the last book you read?

I love to read – mostly parenting books these days. I’ve read Don’t Make Me Count to Three, Creative Correction, The Power of a Positive Mom, to name a few.

4. What is your favorite TV show at the moment?  Definitely Grey’s Anatomy. Love it!

4.5 What is your favorite magazine? Creating Keepsakes

5. What did you have for breakfast?  Cream of wheat. Ansley did, too, and ate two bowls of it!

6. What is your middle name?  Jill

7. What is your favorite cuisine?  Italian! Yummy.

 

8. What do you dislike?   Traffic jams, Wal-Mart, tantrums, fake people

9. What is your favorite chip flavor?  Not really a chip person – I prefer fruit with a sandwich, but I like what my friend who sent this to me said – chocolate. J 

9 1/2 What is your favorite cocktail?  Can someone tell me what a cocktail is? Honestly, I haven’t had an alcoholic drink in YEARS…

10. What is your favorite CD at the moment?  The Northpoint KidStuf CD – such catchy tunes, I find myself singing them all day long, and Ansley loves it too!

11. What car do you drive? Yes, I’m a minivan mom and I love it! A Toyota Sienna.

12. Favorite sandwich? Peanut butter and banana

13. What characteristic do you despise? Being fake, I guess…

14. Favorite item of clothing?  Capris and tank tops – yep, still looking forward to that spring wardrobe!

15. If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?  A vacation to Paris

16. What color is your bathroom? Dark khaki/brown – what does that say about me??

17. Favorite brand of clothing? The Limited or the Gap

19. Favorite time of the day? What comes to mind first is when John gets home, but other than that the morning, because it’s fun to just hang out

20. What was your most memorable birthday? Hmmm…I think my 26th one (keeping in mind I can’t really recall any birthdays before 24 – my memory is that bad!) – John threw a surprise party for me and my parents came in as a surprise along with our closest friends

21. Where were you born?  Johnson City, TN

22. Favorite sport to watch?  Dancing, does that count? I love to watch people dancing. As long as they’re good.

23. Who do you least expect to send this back to you? I’m not sending it to a group of people, so this question doesn’t apply.

24. Person you expect to send it back first? Again, same thing.

25. What fabric detergent do you use? Surf – smells good

26. Coke or Pepsi? I would always go with Coke, but I really don’t drink many soft drinks.

27. Are you a morning person or a night?  Morning….Yeah, right! Definitely night.

28. What is your shoe size? 6 ½

29. Do you have any pets?  Yes, Avery, 11(dog) and Kota, 8 (cat)

30. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share with your family and friends?  Ummmm…hmmm…let me think….I think everyone would already know if I had any exciting news. I wish I had some. :)

30.5 What would you want to be today if money were not a factor?  Perfectly content where I am with what I’m doing, and wouldn’t want to be anything other than a mom now, but I would have loved to have been a professional dancer, back in my youthful days. ;)

32. How far will you send this email?  Depends on who reads my blog….maybe Idaho?

33. What was your most memorable holiday? I have great Christmas memories growing up, but have to say having Ansley makes Christmas SO much more magical.

34. What is your idea of perfect happiness?  Doing what you love and are passionate about, spending time with great friends and family, knowing who you are, being yourself….

36. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? Well according to Ansley, “Oh, well!” “Sure!” and “That’d be good.”

37. What is your most marked characteristic?   My curly hair

38. What do you consider your greatest achievement? My daughter.

39.  Who did you see at your first concert?  Oh, wow, are you ready? It was New Kids on the Block, and my best friend and I had backstage passes! J 

40. Who was your favorite teen idol? Ricky Schroeder – I am aging myself, but who remembers Silver Spoons? J

I don't see any name at the bottom of the questions. They are interesting questions but they gave me a shiver just remembering what I went through the last time you had that tag game. So fun ... Sure this counts... I was reading this thinking, "She has another friend named Alicia! Oh, that's me!" Duh-huh. Can you tell my brain's in the clouds these days? Glad you are doing well... I'm with you on being ready for spring. I can't wait 'til it's light enough to take walks in the evenings when we get home from work.

3. What was the last film you saw at the movie theater? Walk the Line - Great Movie! We just saw it last weekend at the movies, even though it comes out on video this week!
3.5 What is the last book you read? No No Jack and Spot goes to the Circus - my son Alex's two favorite books...we read all day, it leaves little time for me to read anything on my own. I have been reading the Bible when I do have time to read - I think the last book I finished was Ephesians

4. What is your favorite TV show at the moment? Grey’s Anatomy - hands down. I look forward to it all week!
4.5 What is your favorite magazine? I don't have a favorite right now, but I have been reading several scrapbooking magazines

7. What is your favorite cuisine? I like it all - Chinese is probably my favorite, but good Italian can't be beat - it's just hard to find in Georgia

8. What do you dislike? participating in organized sports, how fast time goes by, how hard it is to manage time. any sort of paper work, book keeping or skill that takes lots of organization

I like Ansley's Rainbow Fish necklace. Since you don't have glitter, I remember an idea from another preschool teacher. She had the children glue tiny torn pieces of aluminium foil on colored fish to show how he shared his shiny scales. Just thought Ansley might want to add some foil scales for a finishing touch. I'll be busy later answering all those silly questions since I just saw I've been tagged!

1. What time did you get up this morning? 7:30ish. My alarm clock is my good lookin’ husband kissing me goodbye.
2. Diamonds or pearls? Hardly get dressed up for either. My favorite pearls Derek gave me for our wedding day.
3. What was the last film you saw at the movie theater? The Passion of the Christ. Looking forward to our dinner and a movie date this weekend. Probably The Chronicles of Narnia.
3.5 What is the last book you read? Just finished Through Gates of Splendor by Elisabeth Elliot in light of the 50th anniversary of the missionaries’ martyrdom. I’m reading Charlotte’s Web to Sarah right now.
4. What is your favorite TV show at the moment? We don’t watch television.
4.5 What is your favorite magazine? Used to subscribe to Simple Scrapbooks
5. What did you have for breakfast? Honey Nut Cheerios
6. What is your middle name? Anne after my grandmother. It’s now Sarah’s middle name too.
7. What is your favorite cuisine? Pasta or seafood - better yet seafood and pasta together.
8. What do you dislike? Whining and today I’d also say runny noses
9. What is your favorite chip flavor? Restaurant chips and salsa
9 1/2 What is your favorite cocktail? All I know about is fruit cocktail in a can.
10. What is your favorite CD at the moment? I’m riding around listening to our church’s praise band Inside Out’s latest cd – the live version.

15. If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? I’ve never been to Hawaii. I told Derek yesterday I’d like to go back to our honeymoon cabin in the mountains too.

20. What was your most memorable birthday? My 30th. This past birthday was my first “big” milestone birthday to celebrate with my family of four. Derek emailed my friends and asked them to send cards or emails. I was SO surprised by people from so many seasons of my life who took the time to wish me happy 30th long distance.
21. Where were you born? Baton Rouge,LA – a preemie nearly 3 months early
22. Favorite sport to watch? I grew up on the sidelines of soccer games with my dad a college coach back then.

33. What was your most memorable holiday? Our youngest daughter Hannah was born at 3:17 p.m. on Christmas Day 2003. Can’t top that!

39. Who did you see at your first concert? Rich Mullins. Still my favorite concert. I remember everybody in the auditorium singing Awesome God, how he seemed so humble, and how amazing it was to watch him play the dulcimer. A funny story for Megan – the first concert I ever heard was New Kids on the Block. No tickets so we just listened from the soccer field where my dad coached at Millsaps College. We were right next to the Memorial Stadium in Jackson where they were playing so I could hear them but we couldn’t see a bit!
40. Who was your favorite teen idol? Probably Michael J. Fox. Megan, I’ll admit I watched Silver Spoons too. 
