Weekend at the Lake

We had a fun trip to the lake. We went last summer as well, and it' s so amazing the difference (almost) a year makes. Ansley had a blast - she loved the boat, she especially loved going fast, swimming in the lake, watching everyone waterski, pointing out fish, waving to other boats. A fun time with great friends. Ansley loves these people. :) So do we.

We went for a boatride Friday evening after we arrived. John got there earlier than expected, and Ansley was thrilled as usual to see him. It was all about Daddy. In this picture, Ansley just honked the horn on the boat, and got a kick out of it. :)

Once she learned the proper "boating etiquette" of waving to other boats, she was hooked. Here she is, happily waving to another boat.

Sitting up front, all smiles. This is how she looked all weekend. :) We enjoyed a beautiful sunset ride on this night.

Swimming in the lake. She LOVED this. Had a great time in the float, and going from person to person, laughing and splashing and having a ball.

Now we are getting prepared (and trying to prepare Ansley) for the movers tomorrow. Not sure how she will react to strange people (although Ansley never really meets a "stranger") packing up all our things and boxes all over. Should be interesting.

I'll try and get the computer packed last, so hopefully I'll still have tomorrow left before the computer is gone. If there's no blog, you'll know why.....

Wow- I'm the first one to leave a comment! :) Looks like you all had a very fun weekend! I'm glad you were able to have such a fun and relaxing last weekend here! I sure don't envy you with the movers coming tomorrow- I've been there one too many times! But I'm praying all goes smoothly for you! We will see y'all before you leave right? I thought we would, Mark thought we wouldn't - and I didn't even get to give you a last hug. Keep us updated. So glad you were able to come this weekend - I thought it was a great 'last' weekend and allowed a fun last homecoming for y'all as well. Hopefully you were able to relax and didn't come home too exhausted. Mark downloaded some of our pics - I'll make y'all and the McLeod's a CD. Here's hoping to another blog tomorrow :)

Guess they are the same thing :)
