We went out today and got the last few things we need for him, so now we are officially ready! A little later than we were with Ansley, but at least we're done. :)
A door sign just like Ansley's (both were gifts from Mimi and PopPop). Their doors are right across the hall from each other, so Ansley likes to point out "This says Ansley" and "This says Christian."
Here is the room. We ordered the nightstand and dresser for him, and the crib and dresser/changer were Ansley's. When he's old enough for his big boy bed, we'll get a dark wood bed for him, and then sell the crib and dresser. The pictures on the right (in his room) are of me and John as babies, the same pictures we used in Ansley's nursery. Eventually they will be baby pictures of him. The mobile was Ansley's when she was a baby, but the bedding is new, and my mom made the bedskirt (thanks, Mom!:)). Ansley helped John paint the big "C" on the wall, and was so happy to contribute to his room.
Here is the the other wall with the dresser and changer top. The empty space on the wall is reserved for a "parts and faces" like we did with Ansley, where there are close ups of all the cute little baby parts. So it looks a little empty for now.
Here is his new dresser, which is right next to the crib, and his closet is on the other wall (which is where the door is, if that helps you get the arrangement of the room.)
We are pleased with the way it turned out, and are excited to see our sweet little boy in it. We've been spending a lot of time in here, and Ansley is enjoying all the baby stuff.
In other news, Ansley *has* to have a nightgown, and I can't find one anywhere. If you've seen a cute, lightweight cotton girl's nightgown lately, please let me know where so I can snatch it up. We have looked everywhere (ok, most everywhere - Disney Store, Gymboree, Kohl's, JCPenney, Target), and either can't find them or can only find rather tacky ones or heavy fleece ones she would be too hot in (she's very hot natured). Ansley exclaimed today after the 5th store we went in looking for one, with no luck, "We'll *never* find me a nightgown!" That's our little drama queen!
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year's Eve!
Wow! It turned out great! Sounds like you all had a great Christmas! I can't believe it's already over! Keep us posted on baby Christian's progress to his debut!

I think everything looks wonderful and we love the colors. Gets me excited about getting his room ready...but I would love to have a name first :) HA! And my scrapbooking is more documenting then it is anything close to yours. I put pictures in a book and write labels...nothing worth awards like someone else I know.

I think you and John have such a beautiful home that is nicely decorated. Christian's room looks terrific! It won't be long before you will be rocking him. I think the photo of Ansley laying against her growing baby brother is priceless.
