On Tuesday, my parents and the kids and I loaded up and headed to Johnson City to visit my grandparents, Grandma and Pappa (my mom's folks). Ansley always has a great time, and it's always good to see them and be able to catch up. They are 87 now, and they loved seeing Ansley again and Christian for the first time.
Here are some cute photos from our visit.
This rocking chair was Pappa's when he was little, so it's over 85 years old.
Christian and Grandma, whom Ansley affectionately calls "Old Grandma".
Christian in the rocking chair. I have a similar picture of Ansley when she was a baby as well.
Pappa and Christian:
I'm glad we have these pictures! My grandparents still live in the same house they've lived in my whole life, and they do pretty well on their own. Grandma takes care of Pappa, who isn't in as good of health as he used to be. I think they are doing very well for 87 years old!
My parents left about an hour ago. Ansley was sad, as always. John gets in late tonight, but it was definitely nice to have the company and help while he was away. I even made it to a hair appointment this morning. Thanks, Mom and Dad!
Happy Wednesday!
What a blessing for Ansley and Christian to get to spend time with their GREAT grandparents! :) My grandfather gave Sarah his little rocking chair. My dad rewove the seat and stained it, and now Sarah and Hannah have enjoyed rocking their dolls and reading books in it.

Too bad Grandma and Pappa don't have a computer so they can see the pictures. We had a great time with you and glad John got home safely.
