Seriously DIDDO to that-all of that! Although I'm not quite there with two just yet, my time is quickly approaching, and I so appreciate you being so candid about how some of your days really are and your frustrations and selfish thoughts, etc... because yes, we ALL have days like that (mine seem to be more often than not!), and any mom is completely lying who says she doesn't! Yes, and I love that quote- so true!

Hi Megan. Really great blog today. I have been having those same thoughts daily with an almost 4 and almost 2 year old. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, I have so been there. And I am still there. The good news is that you are recognizing what you need. Like the book you are reading, there is a *me* in mommy. And, I can tell you, that at each 6 months milestone of having 2, the balance becomes easier. AND, you might find yourself thinking, hey 3 might be fun! :) Just a thought, but can you find a regular weekday sitter? This has really helped me to know I have one day to do things that I can't normally do with a 3.5 year old and a 20 month old. And, then you still have some time for the family on the weekends instead of juggling children if your errands are finishd.

Do your remember me? I'm Jonathan's friend from work. I am home on maternity leave right now, my little boy Ian is 3 wks old as of yesterday. It was so nice to read your blog today and realize that every mom really does go through those same feelings from time to time!

amen...seems as if you speak the voice of truth for us all here. And I can't tell you how many times I thought how convenient a drive thru milk, bread and package shipping store would be!Glad to hear you're making it through :)

Thanks for allowing me to see that I'm not alone in this journey - that all mom's feel this way from time to time!

amen sister...life's hard enough with one! there should be a mom-a-holic clinic for all the mom's who pretend to have it all together. you know, send them through detox so they can't help but be honest and present an accurate picture of what it's really like. "hi, my name is _________. i've been honest for 6 weeks now. i haven't showered, not wearing makeup and my kid ate chocolate for breakfast."

okay, wow, i happened upon this site this morning - truemomconfessions.com; maybe laying it all on the table isn't such a good idea. i'm thankful for god's grace, and that he's in charge, not me.
