The boy is ten months old today. Two short months away from being one. And being weaned. And drinking cow's milk. And perhaps walking. Wow. But it's not here yet, so I'll focus on what I love about my boy at ten months.
He is active, wait that should be Active (you know, with a capital "A"). He is all over the place, crawling on his hands and knees instead of the commando crawl. He can move a lot faster on his hands and knees! He can climb stairs, all the way to the top (with me right behind him, of course). He is into everything, exploring, curious, watchful, focused.
When I walk into his room in the morning, he gives me a huge grin, bounces up and down on his legs, and then immediately looks for Ansley. And she's usually not too far behind. He crawls after her, laughs at her, watches her, follows her. And they are starting to play together, as much as a 10 month old can, but it's cute.
He still loves his food, and has the chunkiest little baby legs ever. I could eat 'em up. Still has yet to encounter a food he doesn't love. Cut up bananas are his current favorite, as well as oatmeal, peaches, and carrots. But really, throw anything his way and it will disappear in .5 seconds. He has six teeth. And he knows how to use them. He can have a bit of a temper, when he wants more food or wants down from his high chair. He doesn't like baths very much. He keeps his toes curled. He doesn't like wearing shoes, but he loves chewing on them. He seems to love cars (is it just me?), particularly the matchbox kind, watching their wheels spin. He is starting to wave "bye bye".
He is cruising on the furniture. He is sensitive. He is happy. He prefers to be carried in his sling. He loves to pull my hair. Or Ansley's. He is all over the place. Oh, wait, I already said that.
When he cries, you can rest assured that a puffie will make him stop. Or something new to chew on. He loves to go for walks. He enjoys seeing new things, new people, new places...as long as he stays with Mommy. But after two weeks with Mimi and JonJon and Missy, he warmed up very well, and could even allow them to hold him with me in the same room. A milestone for sure! He has a belly laugh that cracks me up every time. He always thinks swinging a golf club is funny. Always. Other laughs may come and go, but that is always funny.
He's cute. He's sweet. He's mine. How I love this boy!
ETA: Photo A Day has some new photos. I know it's been awhile, so you might not have noticed.
He is a cute little boy. We had fun spending so much time with him.

Awww, happy 10 month birthday, Christian! Caleb is sitting on my lap and when he saw the pictures he said "that's Christian!" And the girls ask where Ansley is every Monday for playgroup (no exaggerating either!) so we will HAVE to get together soon! :)
