so tired. must.sleep. been awake for over 30 hours straight now. when was the last time i did that? i can't even recall. i'm too tired to capitalize. i may be too tired to make sense; we'll see when i read this back in the morning. planes are horrible for sleeping, and a 9 hour overnight flight with a 5 hour time difference is starting to take its ugly toll.
we picked up the kids this afternoon, managed to stumble down the highway, literally taking turns driving, popping Vivarin and keeping the other awake. they have been great - so happy to see us, and very content and angelic. seriously. ansley has been so cute, just taking in all that we have to say about our trip, asking questions, laughing, so curious. she tried on the dresses we brought her back and literally dance-floated around the room. she kept saying she was the "aloha girl" and when we left Moe's at dinner tonight, she shouted out "aloha!" to whoever would listen. very cute. or, at least we thought so. christian is walking now - yep, full fledged walking since we've been gone. we left our sweet baby boy and came back home to our sweet toddler. *sigh*
am i rambling? please pardon anything that doesn't make sense. thirty hours on no sleep tends to do that to a person. did i mention that?
must.have.bed.
BIG thanks to Mimi and Granna and Papa Joe for doting on our kids while we were gone. they both did great (the kids that is) and had a wonderful time!
so, i do promise that beautiful, absolutely amazing pictures are coming, and soon. but just not tonight. tonight is sleep. delicious sleep.
(and i must add my disclaimer and say sleep deprived and all, it was TOTALLY worth it. would do it again in a heartbeat.)
