I did my tri-annual cleaning of Ansley's camera today. It always cracks me up. I guess because I take SO many pictures, and she has had a camera in her face most of her life, she senses that pictures are important.
I should say here that sometimes the line between important and downright intrusive is a little fuzzy to a six year old. I deleted MANY photos of Christian using the bathroom, me helping Christian use the bathroom, me in the shower. Yeah, not sure how that happens.
Nevertheless, here are the ones that made the cut.
This is just cute, isn't it? This is in Christian's room, I can tell, and he's in his PJ's, so it must've been just before bedtime. There are a LOT of pictures of Christian on her camera.
There are also a lot of self portraits, but a self portrait with Mimi is just fun. This makes me smile!
Christian at the dentist. This was a little while back, and he did great. He looks so happy with his new toothbrush and "I'm a super patient" sticker doesn't he? He was a super patient that day.
This has given me nightmares. Or flashbacks.
Rylee - with Jake peering around her in the background. I think this was at Dollywood when we were there not too long ago. Cute picture.
Me taking Christian to the bathroom. This must've been a while ago because Christian is dressed like it's winter. Even though I am not, my children's clothes are usually a better indication of the actual weather. (What? I get hot easily. It must be all the running around, cleaning up I do). Perhaps I've overemphasized the importance of documenting the every day moments.
It's always interesting and funny to see what my sweet girl chooses to document. But, either way, I'm glad we document so much around here! One day they will bring back sweet childhood memories for them.
flashback. definitely.

So cute! Tell me what kind of camera Ansley has. Please! Ella Beth is begging for one for her b-day...but I want a good one that is DURABLE!!!! Love documenting.
MEGAN RESPONDS: Ansley has a pink Polaroid digital camera. It has been great - perfect for what she uses it for, durable, and of course pink. :) We got it at Target for about $80 several years ago.
