We went to Nashville for the long weekend and soaked up some family fun.
I think JonJon probably gets the best work-out when we visit. With two kids clamoring for his attention, he's got it rough. Who gets to sit on his shoulders when? Who gets to play with him? It's hard, being so loved, I am sure.
You can see the stress of it all in his face, can't you? Or maybe that's the weight up there that he's not used to. It's hard to say.
We did enjoy quite a few games of Freeze Tag. Ansley is fast, and she loved it. I love the look on her face here: victory!
Nothing says victory like beating three grown ups either. And she beat us honest, too.
Christian really enjoyed the game, too. He's not a consistent runner like Ansley is though. He would join in when he felt like it, but that kept the game exciting. The rules of a three year old always make for a more interesting game.
Ansley found a frog in the driveway one morning. I thought she would just get really close and take a look, but no. She scooped it right up in her bare hands and kept it as a pet for several hours. Whose child is this?? Thankfully Mr. Frog escaped, because otherwise Ansley's loving very much resembles death to a frog.
The boys played golf one morning, and then the girls got pedicures. The guy did Ansley's toes fancy, which she was super thrilled by. Fancy, aren't they?
I think JonJon was so exhausted that John finally had to get in on it, too, to ease the burden.
A great, fun filled weekend with family!
