We enjoyed a fun (and warm!) Thanksgiving Day with Mimi. John took my doctor's orders to rest very seriously, and he made most of the food. I am very thankful for a wonderful and loving husband! Of course, the kids wanted to help too.
Mimi making the green bean casserole. Everyone contributed to this Thanksgiving meal! I even made homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast that morning.
Mimi and the kids crafting. They were working on some pinecone turkeys. Well, here, take a look. They turned out really cute, and looked very festive decorating our Thanksgiving table.
Later that afternoon our good friends Shawn and Christina and their three boys joined us for a little hanging out before eating. Here is the table.
Ansley and Mimi made place holders for everyone - cute little walnut boats that added a nice touch to the table. We enjoyed a smoked and a baked turkey, sweet potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, dressing, green bean casserole, cranberry salad and rolls as well as pumpkin pie. Yummy!
And a few days later.....
What a fun happy Thanksgiving time! Love those pine-cone turkeys. I saw a snowman pine-cone craft I'm thinking of trying with H for winter time. Love you friend!!
