In the Chick-Fil-A line on Friday.
Poor Avery was screaming.her.head.off.
And we were just sitting there, in the line extending all the way out of the parking lot. So I said "Ansley, get Avery out and hold her."
Ansley said "For real?"
I guess we joke a lot in our family.
So Ansley took her out, and this is what we got. Super content, happy baby. Looking all around. Cooing happily. Asking when she would be old enough to have some nuggets and a banana pudding milkshake. Not that we ordered a banana pudding milkshake, of course.
Soon, baby girl, soon.
And the best part? By the time we got through that long line and ordered and got our food, Avery had fallen asleep in Ansley's arms. So we pulled in the parking lot, put her back in her car seat, and headed home.
A fabulous Friday afternoon.
(Especially when there are milkshakes involved.)
Ansley must be a great big sister. And, from personal experience, milkshakes tend to make any day fabulous. :)

VERY sweet sister. Now I'm wishing I had a banana pudding milkshake for breakfast!
