We headed to Atlanta this past weekend to visit our good friends Mark and Ashley and their son Hamilton. We always look forward to spending time together, chatting and catching up! And they are always so good about planning fun things all weekend long. The only downside is it makes the weekend go by so fast!
Sadly, the pictures I posted in my Photo A Day album are about the only ones I took.
But that's okay. There are still fun stories.
Friday evening we went on a date night together to a local restaurant called Giorgio's. I didn't follow the Bachelorette, but if you did, it's the same restaurant that one of the "contestants" (is that what you call them?) parents own. As we were eating, we see all these girls with cameras and realize that he is there that night. Poor guy was just going from table to table, getting his picture taken. We were not one of those tables, but it was entertaining at least to watch all the commotion that he caused, just from being on tv!
Saturday morning the guys took the kids to a water park, while Ashley, Avery and I went to the outlet malls. It was fun walking around shopping and chatting, although it was very hot. Then we headed back to the house because Mark wanted to show John a job he had completed at Georgia Tech. So, the two of them and Ansley headed down to see that. It was a lot of fun for all of them! That evening me and Ashley took all the kids to see Winnie the Pooh. It was SO cute! The kids all enjoyed it, and even though I was a little worried that Ansley might think she was too old for it, she loved it just as much. I highly recommend it! Then we headed back and enjoyed a dinner in and spent the evening hanging out.
Sunday morning we went to a local gourmet donut shop. Suddenly, I remembered I had my camera.
I love this. So cute! Ashley getting some lovin' from Avery. (Ashley is due with Baby Luke in September.)
Me and Ashley. This may have been our only visit where we didn't get full family pictures. We were a little rushed with Avery's feeding and trying to leave so we could get home at a reasonable hour. And our next family picture will look very different!
We had a great weekend, as always, and love the time we spend with the Jansens! It's always so fun to just pick up right where you left off, and have such a long history with someone. Love ya'll!
Love y'all! Whew - that is a lot of pictures of me really big and really close together. I'm hoping that you have time to post Wordless Wednesday, or Thoughtful Thursday or something quick-like so I'm not the first thing people see when they go to your blog. You are on top of things!! I still haven't even blogged Cancun yet. We'll see if I get caught up before Luke arrives.
Miss you!!
