We just returned from a week-long vacation in Rosemary Beach. We love it there, and always have a blast!
I have SO MANY pictures, so I'm going to try and post a bunch of them without a lot of words. We'll see how that goes.
This was the day we arrived. The kids had been begging to go to the beach, but we had to unpack and all. Finally though we all headed to the beach, and they ran ahead of us because they were so excited. I love this.
Avery's first day on the beach. She wasn't quite sure what to make of it, and clung to us with each crash of a wave. So pitiful! But she sure looked cute!
The house has a pool, and Mimi and the kids spent hours in the pool every afternoon. They loved playing games and staying cool.
JonJon seems to have found a seashell.
Okay, a little secret? JonJon and Missy grabbed some shells at a store, and then casually dropped them in the ocean for the kids. They seriously thought it was the BEST THING EVER.
I mean, look at this girl's happy dance after finding the shells. So adorable!
We spent a lot of time on the beach.
And we had downtime back at the house.
A funny story.
Ansley made friends at the beginning of the week. Ansley loves to make beach friends. This is the best picture I got, but sitting down is Oscar, and he has two sisters. Ansley and Oscar are the same age, and they really enjoyed playing together. We got to talking to Oscar's parents, and found out they are from Atlanta. They were only there for a few days, but on the last day they were there, they wanted to exchange addresses. They just loved Ansley and thought she was so sweet and she and Oscar got along so well so they wanted to keep in touch. It was funny, but sweet.
Avery stayed back at the house with Mimi mostly, but she did have a few trips to the beach. They usually ended like this though:
It was a great week filled with lots of fun memories!
Your pictures made me smile. There's just something about the beach! Glad you made happy family memories. It won't be long before you'll have another seashell-hunting swimmer joining in. :)
