Laura Goode

Hey Megan!
I don't get to post or read often (the 3rd child for us would be the reason for that..) but I wanted you to know I understand exactly what you mean! The 3rd child has been the toughest transition for us too. I feel incredibly blessed to have 3 healthy children, but there are some days I long to just sit in a Starbucks by myself. You have beautiful, amazing children..you are doing a great job! I heard a quote recently (you may have heard it), "with parenting the days are long and the years are short".
I understand so much of what you are going through..and if I were up there I would bring you a cup of sweet tea. After I fix lunches, get the kids ready, find my purse, and and get everyone in the car. It might take a while : ).
Have a Merry Christmas!

Renee

What a precious smile! Yes, these days are both so terribly hard and so full of blessings all at the same time. You are an incredibly loving mom! God bless you and your family this Christmas!

Amber

Megan, this post made me excited for our little #3 to arrive, but it also made me anxious! Our personalities seem to be a great deal alike, and I feel as though you're just giving me a heads up for what's to come. I already feel somewhat isolated being a homeschooling mama of 2, and I know that adding a baby into the mix may exasperate that feeling. But, I also know that family is the biggest blessing that God has given to us. I, too, recently heard the quote, "The days are long, but the years are short." That seems to be my mantra most days as I remind myself that time is fleeting and I really will miss all of this - the good, the bad, the ugly, and soon, the stinky. Sending you encouragement today:

Romans 12:6-12, "We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

Megan

Thank you friends! I do appreciate it. Your words made me smile and encouraged me today!

Laura - I didn't know you had three. How fun! :)

Renee - you are always an encouragement to me!

Amber - thank you for the verse. That lifted my spirits today!
