Today John and the two kids were out running errands (see photo of the day) and Avery was napping, so I did what I normally do when I have free time: I bake. I made these homemade Oreos. They turned out pretty good. The kids loved them. I went with a fairly healthy recipe just because I was curious how they would taste. I probably should have gone with the full-out sugar version.
On a different note, Avery calls McDonald's McDonut, and I think it's the cutest thing ever so I don't correct her. She may still call it McDonut when she's five, because who can tell a two year old saying "We go McDonut?" that she's wrong? Not me, that's for sure. And if you're also thinking wait, when do your kids ever go to McDonalds? That doesn't sound like the Megan I know. You'd be absolutely right. But every Sunday morning, John gets the kids ready and takes them all to McDonut's (it's catchy) for breakfast.
Also, when she sees it's snowing, she says "It's snowman! It's snowman!" And I can't seem to correct her on that one either.
So, homemade Oreos, McDonut's and snowman - that wraps up our Sunday. How was yours?
