My kids love to make ornaments! Every December, we make new ornaments for our tree. It's so fun to look back at all the ornaments we have made together over the years!
Here is a super simple but oh-so-cute one that is easy to make, and works with a wide range of ages. All you need are mini syrofoam wreaths (found at Hobby Lobby) and some fun colored yarn. That's it!
Aren't they so cute? From left to right: my ornament, Christian, Ansley, and Avery. I think they are so cute! And super fun and easy, which is important in my world. (Do you remember the year we did this? So, yeah, fun and easy are necessary!)
Here's two more ornaments we tried. Well, the one on the left we've done for several years now. My kids love them, and they can sit and get them done on their own. You just take a syrofoam ball and push little squares of fabric into it, and it creates a cute little pom pom ball. This year I got some fun, bright fabrics to use instead of Christmasy fabrics. Then, new this year, we made the reindeer. I think they are so adorable! Avery made these two, but Ansley and Christian really enjoyed making them as well. You just get some clothespins (I found these at JoAnn's) - but not the kind with springs in them - and glue them together, then paint them brown. After it dries, glue on eyes and a nose. We also added a jingle bell around its neck after this picture was taken. I love the way they turned out!
We also enjoy baking lots of cookies, so next I'll share some of my favorite cookie recipes!
Here's a sneak peek of Ansley making one of our favorites, and silly Avery in the background. This was taken while Christian was at karate. We love baking cookies around here!
