February 24, 2011, Part I
We pulled out some toys today. It was just me and Avery all day, so after taking pictures, getting laundry done, kitchen cleaned, it was time for some toys. I think it may be a little early though.
Part II
It's strange to just have one baby for the day, because I'm so used to the noise and chatter and fun of two talkative children. It's quite different having one silent child. So this is what I do to amuse myself.

Papa Joe came in today (to pick Granna up - they are leaving Friday morning) and brought Play-Doh with him. I'm not a big fan of Play-Doh, mostly because it makes a huge mess. But playing outside with it brought hours of enjoyment for these two!

Ansley and Christian requested to take a shower this evening. It's the first time we've done this. Ansley doesn't like wet hair dripping down her back, so she also requested "how Mom does it." Having a newborn makes me that much more amazed that SEVEN years have passed since she was a tiny baby.

See? I told you they'd be back. I know I'm being a little partial this week to pictures of Avery, but it will all level out soon. She's just SO SWEET, and I want to capture all this newbornness before it's gone.
Oh my goodness that makes me emotional too, so I better stop.

I think I must be a gifty girl, because I am really enjoying all the sweet friends and neighbors that have brought flowers, gifts, meals, and even offered to take our kids. It is so thoughtful and kind, and just reminds me what a blessing friendships are in my life!
What? Is this the first photo that hasn't been of Avery? Hmmmm. Don't worry, they will be back.
