Today we had a field trip to Ijams Nature Center. That's Ansley with the red jacket tied around her waist, holding hands with Savannah. Mimi came in town to see the kids, so Christian stayed home with her while we went field tripping. This is the seven and older group (Ansley was close enough to seven, and it kept her with her friends) and we all enjoyed a nature hike, where our guide pointed out birds, plants, and flowers. They also got to use nets and search for tadpoles, crawdads, and baby dragonflies. The trip ended with our guides pulling out a rat snake for all the kids to see, but not touch. A fun field trip!
Could you comment on what the guide might be holding on her head?
MEGAN RESPONDS: It was a bucket with nets in it, so we could find tadpoles later. And by "we" I mean the kids.
