I take pictures. This blog is a way for me to capture the every day moments in this season of my life before it becomes too foggy in my memory for me to recall. This is a tangible reminder of what my life was like, what we did, what was important to us, how we spent our days. These are the every day matters, because to me, every day matters.
This evening we went out to dinner with our good friends Kent and Allison. Afterwards we had to get birthday donuts. In case you don't know me, I celebrate my birthday for the entire month of August. They sure were yummy, and in great company, as always!
John planned a fun game night for my birthday this year. We had sweet friends over to help celebrate with dinner and cake, and then it was on to Pictionary and Catch Phrase. It was a fun evening!
Today we drove to Johnson City, along with Mimi, JonJon and Missy, to celebrate my Grandma's 90th birthday. She was excited about it, and it was fun to see everyone!
We celebrated the kick-off to Birthday Weekend today. Sometimes birthdays were meant to last longer than a day. And what better way to start it than with a yummy cupcake with my family.
I'm afraid Christian is going to think that school is all about art projects. Because his school takes about twenty minutes at the most, I have to have a lot of "projects" for him to fill his time while Ansley is still learning. He is so determined to sit at our school table and learn, so it makes me feel bad to just ask him to play. So here he is painting a self portrait. He learned all about the letter C too though.
Poor Christian. He was so tired, and a friend (and neighbor) called to see if Ansley wanted to come play, so she was gone and he didn't want to go because he was tired, but he was so sad without her. So this is how I found him while cooking dinner.
