I take pictures. This blog is a way for me to capture the every day moments in this season of my life before it becomes too foggy in my memory for me to recall. This is a tangible reminder of what my life was like, what we did, what was important to us, how we spent our days. These are the every day matters, because to me, every day matters.
Christian and I returned home today to prepare for our company tomorrow, and Ansley got to stay with Mimi. Christian got very into sports this evening, wanting me to show him all this sporty stuff. Poor little guy, he sure needs his Dad around!
We all enjoyed a pontoon boat ride by Captain Jesse. He was quite informative, and we saw lots of blue heron, bats, beavers, and birds. The kids thought it was lots of fun spotting all the animals, and we enjoyed the beautiful sunset boat ride.
Enjoying a beautiful afternoon on the front porch. Ansley was out with JonJon and Missy, so the three of us were hanging out. Christian got to enjoy a snow cone as well.
We dropped John off at the airport today (he's heading to Chile and Brazil for his EMBA class) and then the kids and I headed straight to Nashville to spend the week with Mimi. This evening Mimi couldn't wait to let Ansley open her birthday gift early. She was delighted, and I love this shot of her enjoying a fun evening with Mimi, JonJon, Missy, and Christian. Oh and me of course.
Ansley has become quite the little helper. She loves setting the table every night, insists on flowers or candles or something in the middle, and especially loves helping to make the meal. I sure do love the extra help, and the fact that our table looks so nice every evening, thanks to Ansley.
