Yesterday at the grocery store, Ansley really wanted Pop Tarts. After looking at ALL the ingredients, I told her we could make them, and they'd be much better. So today, I made her some. They were seriously delicious, MUCH better than Pop Tarts. The kids loved them, and begged me to make some more. I will soon - they were really easy and very yummy! I love it when I can deliver on my Mama promises!

We went to Mimi's for a yummy and green St. Patrick's Day dinner. Afterwards, we went for a walk around the neighborhood. I love this sweet shot.
It's been a little over a year that Mimi's been here, and I often marvel at God's timing that led her to the perfect neighborhood. Her life here is really good, and we are very blessed by having her!

Christian had his first baseball practice this morning, and then we enjoyed a beautiful day outside. The kids literally played outside ALL day, while John did some BBQ smoking (ribs). Mimi came over, and we enjoyed a yummy dinner on the porch. I made Pioneer Woman's blackberry cobbler. It was yummy!

It seems that our house is the "hang out house", especially on Friday nights. I am fine with this, because I can keep track of my kids and get to know our neighbors kids, and they all have fun together. Some evenings, we can have 10 or 12 kids running around in our backyard. This evening, it was only five, so they took a break from playing and enjoyed some pudding.

Today we had Ansley's friend Grace Elizabeth and her mom over for some cookie baking and decorating. Mimi picked Christian up a little before lunchtime and they spent some time together before going to karate (Ans and Mimi did the same yesterday before going to dance). I put Avery down for her nap and the four of us decorated away. Then the girls headed off to play while the two Mamas got to chat and laugh. It was a fun afternoon!

Oh the newly discovered joys of spring! Avery was fascinated by the people mowing our neighbor's yard, and I thought it was so funny I had to run outside and capture this shot. (This dress is her outfit of choice on most days, so even though it seems like she is wearing the same thing over and over, she....well, she is. She keeps asking for this dress, which I guess should make summer dressing easy.)

We are going to try the square foot gardening method this year, since we had some troubles last year with getting things to produce. We got it set up this weekend, and next weekend we will start planting. This will be our third summer with a garden, and I love it!

We got to eat out on the screened in porch for the first time this year! It was a beautiful day today, and even though it cooled off a little by evening, we turned on the heater and it was very nice out here. I captured this shot while we were praying before dinner. I know, I wasn't praying because I was taking the picture, but I just love how sweetly she holds hands and watches everyone, so I wanted to make sure I got a shot of it. So cute!
