Ansley and her friend, Paige, organized an Easter egg hunt for some neighbor friends. Today was the hunt and it was really cute. The egg hunt was at our house, and then they went to Paige's house for the activities. Hospitality gene?

Today we made beaded salt dough crosses. The kids loved it, and Ansley was especially very into the bead pattern on hers. They turned out very cute!

Today I made salt dough, and the kids worked on making the tomb. Then I baked it for a few hours, and the kids found all the people for it. We read the ressurection story from The Jesus Storybook Bible and the kids acted it out with their tomb. They loved it, and played with it for a good portion of the afternoon.

Avery and Finn enjoying a moment together on the floor. We are having some problems with Finn attacking Avery's hair and pulling, and of course she cries. You know how some people aren't "newborn people", as in they just find the newborn baby stage exhausting and prefer to interact with an older child? That's how I feel about the puppy stage. It's exhausting me, but I know it will be gone soon.

These boys are so laid back, I really thought introducing them to a puppy would be a breeze. But, I was wrong. It's stressing me that they are so fearful of him, and it worries me because Finn is a puppy and he bites a lot. So, for now, we keep them separate. But we did get the boys this tower and they love it. The screened in porch is one of their favorite places, and they enjoy the view from up here!

Ansley got about three inches cut off today in preparation for some family pictures we had taken. As you probably know, I absolutely love a good photograph, so I can't wait to see them! It was a great photo shoot, and the kids did great!

This is Finnley. A long time ago when John and I first got married, we had a puppy and a kitten. But now that they are both gone, so we thought we'd start over (and just add a kitten). Finn is a really laid back, calm English cream golden retreiver. The kids enjoy playing with him, and he's a good fit for our family. Now if Julius and Smoky would warm up to him, we'd be all set!

I love coming home to a crashed out kitty on the chair. I think they are pretty comfortable here.

It is hard to tear ourselves away from the boys, but we did enjoy the beautiful weather today. These two love to swing together!
