I take pictures. This blog is a way for me to capture the every day moments in this season of my life before it becomes too foggy in my memory for me to recall. This is a tangible reminder of what my life was like, what we did, what was important to us, how we spent our days. These are the every day matters, because to me, every day matters.

Today was such a beautiful Saturday. This was the view in our backyard. I'm thankful for sweet neighbors for our kids to grow up with!

Ansley will choose to read over just about anything else. I often have to ask her to stop reading so she can finish the rest of her school, or get something done. She loves to read, and I can so remember getting lost in a book when I was her age. She has to tell me all about what's going on in each book she reads. I love it!

It does my heart good to see Christian reading and Ansley following along to help him. He has come so far, and I am so proud of his accomplishments. Second grade has been a great year for him!

Finnley had a grooming appointment today, so I went to pick him up and grabbed lunch for everyone. This was how he rode the whole time. Something tells me he wasn't a huge fan of being dropped off at this strange place.

I love finding fun new things to enrich our curriculum. I found this cool math book that uses math problems to find secret treasure maps. So fun! I've also discovered that United States coloring book, and those two American history books. It's been such a fun year of learning so far!

Every Monday at CC, the kids do a presentation in their classes to get them used to public speaking. Usually it's a topic of their choosing, but for the final CC before Thanksgiving break, each of the students presented on what they were thankful for. Here is Christian doing his presentation. He has come so far from when he first started doing these! I know the fear of speaking in front of a group, so I love the fact that they aim to get these kids used to doing this!

If there is a box, Moky will find it. He still loves to squish himself into any space that's cozy. It's hard to believe these boys will be a year next month!

The girls being silly before Movie Night got started. We enjoyed our 8th Annual Movie Night, and while it was a little chilly, we had two firepits and one heater, plus lots of snacks and hot chocolate. It was a fun night! This year we included friends from church, neighbors, and our CC community.
